Byton High Ridge

Among the trees of Truro, Cornwall sits a lovely 3 bay oak framed garage ready to house and protect the family vehicles from the Great British weather.

Our standard Byton High Ridge was the perfect fit for this self-build project; simple to assemble with the our signature 175mm x 175mm ‘chunky’ posts and beams arriving pre-drilled, pre-jointed and numbered – the principal oak frame was erected within a couple of days.

Each of the bays have been secured with remote operated double doors for ease of access and maximum protection. It also ensures the new owners can remain dry during a sudden downpour *click* open sesame.

As you can see the team fitting the slates had a nice dry day to complete their handy-work.

Contrasting tones of the slate and oak work incredibly well together, creating a fantastic looking building; that will only improve with time. Over the next few years the natural process of ‘seasoning’ will start to take effect on the visual aspects of the oak, slowly transitioning to a mellow silver as it ages.

3 Bay Byton High Ridge | Garage and Outdoor Storage | Radnor Oak

Although it is typically a single storey building, our Byton High Ridge garages have plenty of space in the roof area for light storage. The simple addition of some floor joists and chipboard can add a huge amount of useable storage space above the garage bays. This time round the bays are completely open up to the underside of the roof rafters, although it’s always an option for a later date.
